It sounds like your supervisor allowed you to be extremely hands-on during your FW and you have gained some excellent experience that is going to help you heading into Level II FW. I am also excited about learning more about documentation/reimbursement when we return to campus because keeping up with several insurance policies at my site was confusing as well! I also hope to polish my assessment and documentation skills before heading off campus this fall. Thanks for sharing your experience and I hope you have a great/safe summer break!
Ashley, I am sure being on the neuro and cardiac floors was super interesting! I was unable to watch a surgery, but a level II student also there was able to do that and then pick up them as their patient after the surgery which would be super cool. I completely agree with the furthered learning of billing and I can't wait to put together the brief overview I got on fieldwork to learning the bulk of it in our management courses. Practicing evaluations and notes in the real-life setting on fieldwork is the best way to continue to get better at them! Great reflection about your experience and I'm excited to get to talk to you more about it!
