Occupational Therapy Practice Framework 3rd Edition

The Occupational Therapy Practice Framework (OTPF) is a publication that explains the various domains and processes that occupational therapists use when treating a client.  This publication sets a standard for the terminology within the field in order to allow OTs to be able to communicate effectively.  The various tables in the publication break down areas within the profession like areas of occupation, occupational performance, client factors, performance patterns, performance skills, context and environment, along with many other topics that are used every day for OTs.  This allows the profession to have a set standard for the process or way for the professional to go about making an occupational profile which allows the OT to make intervention plans, goals and caters the treatment to the client.  The overall theme of the OTPF is a client-centered way of approaching the treatment.
